Years to Live is a roguelike deck-building game where you have to use your strategy and memory to discard high-value chips and get the lowest score of all. Focus on memorizing numbers in this dystopian environment where you bet the years you have left on the probability of winning big. Buy perks to amplify your playstyle and print new chips to craft your own deck.

Rules

You start with 4 chips of different points; the goal is to finish with FEWER points than the other players.

The values of the chips will be hiden, but you start seeing two of your chips. Click "Confirm" to hide them and start your turn.

On your turn, you can exchange a chip from the deck for any of your chips. Select both the chip on the middle and one of your chips and then click "Swap" to exchange them. If you don't like the previous chip from the deck, you can draw a new one by clicking "Take". You can exchange or discard this chip.

On your turn, you can burn any chip that has a value equal to the value of the chip from the deck. To do this, select only the chip you want to burn and click "Burn". If the burned chip belongs to an opponent, you can transfer any of your chips to them by slecting the chip and clicking "Give".

When your turn is over, click "Next" to give the rivals their turn.

Some chips have special abilities that activate when discarded:

  • Chips with a value of 10: Allows you to see the value of a pair of chips and decide whether to exchange them or not.

  • Chips with a value of 9: Allows you to exchange two chips without seeing their values.

  • Chips with a value of 8: Allows you to see a rival's chip.

  • Chips with a value of 7: Allows you to see one of your own chips.

  • Chips with a value of 6: Opens the shop.

You discard a chip only when you draw it from the deck.

At the start of your turn, you can choose to end the game by clicking "CountDown", at which point the player with the FEWEST points between his chips wins. In case of a tie, the player loses. Winning grants you years equal to the total points of all your opponents plus 10, while losing subtracts years equal to your points plus 10.

For each game played, the multiplier for the number of years changed will increase.

The shop offers perks and prints. Perks are passive skills that modifiy your gamplay. Prints are special effects that you can apply by selecting a chip and clicking "Print". Be careful because the same deck is used in all games, and opponents can also use printed chips.

Reach game 10 for the ending!
